Artist Of The Month
Chris Smith

May 2024

Chris is an emerging artist inspired by the beauty of nature and in particular connection to the beach.

Motion and energy is an important element of the seascapes drawing on the senses; the sound of the withdrawing water to form the wave followed by the accompanied crash and salty moist air on the skin. More recently, Chris has been exploring figurative works in her beach scenes.

Julie’s Philosophy

“Art has been constant throughout human history; from origins in prehistoric and First Nations art through to the Renaissance and the modern, contemporary art we see today. I believe we all have an innate ability to create, regardless of our age, our background, or our skills.

You can always Start With Art, no matter where you are on your art journey. My focus is creating a fun fine art experience for all through an engaging teaching style and a fun fine art curriculum”.
